It takes place over 2 days, with 3 stages hosting 40+ local and international artists, coming together to collaborate, create, and connect the themes of Nou Le Morne: music, art, permaculture, and sustainability.

We’re doing live music, art installations, visual projections, and interactive performances, gathering artists from around the island and the world into one spectacular space!

The festival grounds rest on the foothills of a rugged mountain that juts into the Indian Ocean, once used as a shelter by runaway slaves through the 18th and early 19th centuries. The green event offers a scenic hike in the lush surroundings: The Freedom Trail promises pure awe in nature, while other festival activities include instrument-making, movement workshops, and mural painting.

While Mauritius boasts of some of the best beaches in the world, Nou Le Morne 2019 is proud to have a lineup that excites one’s primal heartbeat and stirs the rhythm within. Nou Le Morne’s second year is set to be filled with cultural adventure and collaborative discovery.
